RFID card holders

An RFID card holder is for anyone who doesn't want their cards to be readable wirelessly.

Your bank card, credit card and ID respond wirelessly, because that's exactly what makes paying without a PIN possible. A reader can trigger that same response without you noticing.

So protection means having something between your card and that reader. Where brands differ is in where that something sits, and that decides whether you notice any difference in daily use.

Metal around the chip dampens the signal, so the reader gets no response. That's why the core of our holders is aluminium: it's the casing, the mechanism that holds your cards and the shield, all at once. There's nothing to set up and nothing to break.

A separate anti-skimming sleeve protects one card and vanishes into the bottom of your bag within a month. With a handful of cards you need just as many sleeves, and you have to fish out the right one every time you pay.

Here all your cards sit together in the core, so they're all shielded at once. You take one out when you need it.

The shielding applies as long as the card is in the holder. Take it out to pay contactlessly and it does exactly what it always did. For your transit card, the Pro has a quick-scan slot on the outside, so you can leave it in place at the gates.

Honest answer: wirelessly reading a bank card on the street is not a common type of fraud, and banks usually cover any losses. So we don't sell this through fear.

The reason people still want it is that it costs nothing extra when it's already part of the construction. You choose the holder for its size and because your cards stay put, and you get this on top.
